Verizon CFO Confirms iPhone 5 Will Work On CDMA And GSM Networks
Reuters has just reported that Verizon Chief Financial Officer Fran Shammo has revealed that Apple’s next generation iPhone will be a dual-mode phone, which works on CDMA and GSM networks.
Shammo has also revealed that Verizon will launch the fifth generation iPhone at the same time as AT&T.
Reuters reports:
While Verizon has sold fewer iPhones than some analysts expected, Shammo said he was happy with sales of the "six-month-old phone" that only works in some countries.

So, dual capable, but talk and surf capable on Verizon? Not likely.

Will it do standardised 3G video calling to other manufacturer's handsets?
-
Will iPhone 5 work on Sprints network?? If so how and would all the iPhone features work??
-
Probably not. Other handsets don't even have standardized video calling to their own handsets. 3rd party apps like skype and tango allows it though and currently works on iphone 4.

Who cares, I dont want a CDMA phone, but my GSM should not be too expensive either.

Wow its great two networks in one handset. Iphone5 is coming with CDMA and GSM, this is going to be great fun.

will that be a unlocked version?

family unlimited plans I can see get rid of because u can run into some money with overage. But with singles coverage... come on cut us a break... that is not fair...

VERIZON should not discontinue their unlimited data plan. That's BS.
