Apple Gives Retail Stores a Makeover With iPads
Apple has given their retail stores a makeover to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their retail stores. The paper signs next to products have been replaced with iPads to provide customers more interactive information.
This new retail experience is internally referred to as “Apple Store 2.0”.
As expected, Apple retail stores in Australia and other countries are opening up on Sunday with these new changes. MacPricesAustralia has provided the following details:

Agreed! Rat's nest of wires. As for not being powered by the dock connector, it probably is, and just using rails into the dock connector from the case.

The ipads appear to be locked under perspex - does touch work through that (I guess it must - or are they *on* the perspex backing?).The wires they could tidy by having more custom cutouts in their bench for each ipad - and other wires are earbuds - I sincerely hope for hygiene reasons that they don't allow folks to try those earbuds on and then just leave them there without disinfecting...It seems a bit overkill to have all these ipads powered up all the time when a nice bit of printed card would do... they should have proximity sensors that only turn the screen *on* when someone is closeby.

i saw this at the Sydney apple store. They used 100's of ipad 2 on the benches yet none in stock to sell. Sad really.

I wanna see Jobs stuffing one of those. That is really stupid anyone that is going to an apple store is going for a reason. And most people already know about IPods IPhones IPads and macs. Waisted money if you ask me. Could have been put to better use helping poor people or people in areas devastated by tornadoes or other disasters. And NO I won't be going. Be ides I saw all this two months ago in Colummbus Ohio at micro center

what the **** is going on with apple....everything now is looking bad. it was so much better before that now....they should think about the jailbreak code and announce it in the apple retail stores.......i have an ipad and an ipod touch 4g and an iphone 4. but this **** about stores...is so fucked up....no no no....apple...lick my balls..
