Apple Retail Store Display iPads Can Be Hacked With Few Gestures
Apple has given their retail stores a makeover to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their retail stores with interactive iPads replacing paper signs next to products.
Seth Weintraub of 9to5Mac has just reported that an Apple Store Manager has revealed that it’s possible to turn these display iPads into normal iPads with few gestures.

Yes you are right. The store iPad 2s aren't connected with a Dock connector, the cabling is behind the iPad. They are obviously modified to a certain extent. Also, the fact that the home button doesn't work even after the gestures...I would think thats a hardware level lock of sorts.

The iPads are jail broken but untethered. The app used to run the display is available on Cydia for 1.99$
