i3D - Free App Gives a Glimpse Of Glasses-Free 3D Experience On iPhone 4, iPad 2 & iPod Touch 4G
Last month, Jeremie Francone and Laurence Nigay who work in the Engineering Human-Computer Interaction (EHCI) research group of Laboratory of Informatics of Grenoble had figured out a way to use iPad 2’s and iPhone 4’s front facing camera for glasses-free 3D experience, which had generated a lot of buzz.
The good news is that, Francone and Nigay have recently released the app called i3D in the App Store for iPhone 4, iPad 2 and iPod Touch 4G.

its a good thing you said that b/c i just got back from the gym and i downloaded the app and deleted thinking it didn't work. I'll go put a shirt on and see if there's a difference.

This app was working amazingly well in my office and outside during day light hours. Now i'm at home and it is evening, it is really struggling to follow my movements. If you haven't had much luck getting this app to work then try going into a different room or change the lighting. In the right conditions this app works really well, and i'm certain it is the future!

Damn! I usually play with my phone naked! I do everything in the buff - including cooking!

Not next gen, but they need to get it for this gen on next gen OS.
