iPhone 5 To Sport a Curved Glass Screen?
Taiwanese publication DigiTimes reports that according to their sources, the next generation iPhone could sport a curved glass screen.
Their sources have also told them that Apple has bought 200 to 300 machines to be used by glass makers.
DigiTimes reports:
Cover glass makers are reluctant to commit investment to the purchase of glass cutting equipment due to the high capital involved, said the sources.

I like the straight glass, but who knows. It just seems that my iPhone has better touch reception than my neighbors curved glass Samsung. Two different technologies, I know, but I can't help but make the association.

Curved glass is gonna make some of the touch controls feel weird, especially when the phone is vertical. Not sure why apple wants to keep tampering with features that are solid and leaving out well needed changes.

One more funny rumor, simply, this is a touhing devie. Just thinking, drag from left to right what will happen. The curved design will change the force on the sensor. And, if moving fast, it makes a unuseable signal.If just make very low grade curve in the glass to minimizw thia problem, what is the advantage? More ever how resoulve the side reflection ? I just want to say, so funny

Next rumour would be iphone 5 would have steel, carbon fiber and the likes. I have had enough of these rumours.

Though the information about the curved glass screen is said to be rumored the possible advantages for the much awaited iphone 5 is that it might be non-conductive and would have smooth surface to hold which will have a feature of acquiring perfect reception of the signals. However, having glass on the edges might be prone to the clumsy mistakes and thus must be handled with most care.

According to me this would not happen, as the display of glass screen is not good. its just a rumor or anything true about that?

Wow iphones5 with curve display glass will look really cool. If this not a rumor, the next coming Iphone5 will be awaited desperately by the iphone users.

Rumor. for sure. with a curve glass if as much as fart on that screen it will break, just like the iphone 4 if it falls from 2 inches high to foam :)

A curved screen would only make the iPhone thicker and Apple likes it thin.

NOOOOOOOOI doubt it. There's a reason why pretty much all displays (tvs, monitors, hand held devices, etc) havn't used curved screens since the days of CRT.
