Apple To Unveil iPhone 4S At WWDC?
Electric Pig has just reported that Apple’s PR team is inviting select UK journalists to attend the WorldWide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2011 that starts on June 6th.
Electric Pig speculates that Apple is planning to unveil the next generation iPhone – iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S as the possible reason for the invitation.

They better release it this summer.. It's the only reason I didn't buy the iPhone 4.

I think there will be a new iphone this summer. Apple is probably keeping tight lips on it because of what happened last year with the iphone 4 and gizmodo.Unlike other companies, apple doesn't flaunt a new non working product 6 months before it's even ready for launch. When they introduce a product, it's practically in the mail and on its way to apple stores.

Actually, the iPhone 3GS is the third iPhone release and the iPhone 4 is the fourth iPhone release. The original iPhone was just the iPhone and the 2nd version of the iPhone was the iPhone 3G and the third was the iPhone 3GS. I believe the next iPhone will be called the iPhone 5 and it will align much better with iOS. Not sure why the would want to call it the iPhone 4S unless they wanted to call the iPhone released in 2012 the iPhone 4GS to signify that it is LTE capable.

The name as iPhone 4s is a natual selection. Because there are minor(?) updates only. It is very similar with 3G/3GS. But, I doubt about they update camera also. FaceTime HD and Dual Core CPU. I hopw they increase RAM also for the future support such as iOS 6 in 2012

I think it'll be named iphone 5. It's just my opinion, but I think apple wants to associate the number to the generation of the iphone. They screwed up originally by calling the 2nd iphone 3g, so they had to call the 3rd iphone 3gs, and the fourth 4. Now that they've caught up with the numbers, iphone 5 just makes sense to go that path from now on.

your all so wrong, i work for apple in the uk no new iphone this yearthere is a re-design for the iphone 4 upgraded camara flash light as being removed to oppisite side and its got a silver back like ipad 2 also some changes to the motherboard designive seen the tech plansand another reason a new iphone wont be out this year is because apple are going to use new bb chip for 3g and cdma and there still being madefact all this other talk is crap
