iPad 3 May Sport AMOLED Display?
AppleInsider points to a report published by The Korea Hearld, which claims that Apple’s COO Tim Cook visited South Korea to meet Samsung executives to discuss plans to use AMOLED displays for the third generation iPad instead of the IPS LCD display used in iPad 2.

The problem with AMOLED screens is they don't give very true colors. Whilst this will definitely help battery life I think in terms of picture quality it will be a step backwards. I'd rather have a true OLED display!

Turns out OLED and AMOLED are one and the same thing :-)

I think there should be a massive hole where the screen used to be and just have it like a picture frame with no picture, that way when u look though the frame, u can see the other side and it looks completley real because it is real and it's completely 3d.. can't beat reality resolution.

Pentile display is not suitable for iPad, maybe strip tile display will be used even it is IPS LCD or AMOLED
