iOS 5 Supports Full-HD Video
While Apple boosted that its new iOS 5 offers more than 200 new features, it showcased only 10 major features such as revamped notification system, iMessage, PC Free etc. at the WWDC 2011 keynote address due to the limited time available. Some of the hidden features are slowly being brought under the spotlight.
9 to 5 Mac has recently revealed that iOS 5 supports full 1080p video.
A quick reminder, iOS 4.3.x currently supports 720p video.

I'll believe it when I see it

1080P doesn't have anything to do with an 8MP sensor. The current iPhone4 sensor can capture 1080p just fine. (1080P is only ~2mp.) Hopefully iPhone 4 has the processing power for 1080P encoding... That would be awesome.

Camera has no relation to 1080, anyways a welcome change.

What about the Apple TV 2g? It uses the A4 processor!
