iOS 5 Will Allow You To Use Volume Button On iPhone Headset To Snap Photos
Apple has updated the Camera app in iOS 5 with number of new features and improvements.
One of the features is the ability to use the volume-up button as a hardware shutter button for the camera, instead of relying on the on-screen button.
It looks like you will also be able to use the volume-up button on the iPhone headset with remote and mic as a hardware shutter button for the camera in iOS 5.
You can checkout the video below to see it action:

& I bought camera plus just for that feature :-(

this is total BS. First, Apple rejects Camera+ because it uses the volume button as a shutter (a perfectly intuitive use), stating that it is using a HW button in a "non-standard" way. Now, it's perfectly fine because they did it? I lose count of all the great apps on Cydia that Apple rejected that then magically appear as "features" on new versions of iOS.
