Apple May Launch iOS Powered Television This Fall?
DailyTech reports that a former Apple executive has revealed that Apple plans to launch an Apple branded television powered by iOS as early as this fall.
According to DailyTech’s source:
"You'll go into an Apple retail store and be able to walk out with a TV. It's perfect."

Most def. The iPad 2 is $600 for 9.5 inch screen. It will probley cost $1300 for a 26 inch tv. That's crap.

What are you talking about I have an Apple TV and a google TV and the google TV interface suck (at least for now). They need to have apps.Now if apple makes a tv with apple tv intergrated in it, I hope they open an app store for it. (and their apple tv)

I think they are wasting there time with this TV. I can hook my MacBook, iPhone, ATV, all to my current tv. Why would anyone need an Apple TV and what could it do that can not be done with what I got now. They are just trying to find a way to get more money out of us. If anything they should be working on making there current products even better in my opion.

I can see the maturity level of posters here. Come on, criticizing a company over rumors? How about we wait until such a product materializes first. If you like it, then buy it. If not, then buy something else. Apple's not forcing anyone to use their products. They sell well because people actually like them. Anyone who buys a product they're not satisfied with is a fool.With that said, I wouldn't buy an apple tv simply because I have no need for one. I'll continue to sport my VIZIO for as long as it continues to work.

Now I'm sorry... But this is just ubsurd..even though I see a lot of people buying this just to feel pseudo rich..I think they'll carry the remote everywhere so everyone will know they have an apple itv lool...but u can bet ure shoes that it'll probably be a samsung tv is disguise ..I wish they make an apple fridge thaw u need to activate through iTunes and jailbreak it so u can store berries lol

AND I think you are being conservative on your estimate :) .... think of that Cinema display or whatever it is, isn't that like $3000 for a 29 inch ?

The only way this will not flop is IF (and it is possible) this TV is something out of this world. something that is a full iOS device, with apps, app store, and so on. Still would be the same as plugging the iPad into a TV... so I am not sure....

the thing is with apple is they always seem to come up with a product that you never knew you wanted, then you see it and you do, so lets think a little harder about what would be bundled with this tv, internet apps recorder.... and probably knowing apple some other goodies too.

I am so so on the iTV. I am waiting more for the iDishwasher and iWasher and iDryer coming next summer. Then we can truly see the Apple vision.

I heard that the android market is coming to the google tv. I don't really believe it. But can you imagine angry birds on a 42 inch tv?!

what about iWife or an iGirlfriend.. I wonder if we will be able to jailbreak and unlock them for tweaks and extra functions. for iWife the best tweak will be mute timer.
