Evidence In iOS 5 Points To Apple's Own Mapping Solution
According to the updated legal disclaimer in iOS 5, Apple is working on developing its own mapping solution to improve the pre-installed Maps application on iOS devices. This news surfaces even after Eric Schmidt had stated that Google has recently renewed its partnership with Apple to provide maps data for Maps app in iOS 5 as well.

Just hope it doesn't suck. I have no problems with google maps... If aint broke, dont fix it.

I don't care who does the maps, just do them well. What I really want is multi point routing, and to be able to adjust the route to better highways.

Gods, no! This is bullshit... in the US this might be ok, but you have no idea how incomplete OpenStreetMap is here in Japan, presumably Apple's second or third largest profit market... even in the HEART OF TOKYO IT IS MISSING STREETS
