iPhone 5 May Include LED Indicator For Notifications
iOS 5 brings new accessibility features that will allow you to set LED flash alerts for new text messages, incoming calls, or push notifications.
Folks at iPhoneDownloadBlog claim that according to their source, Apple has introduced the feature for iPhone 5 rather than using iPhone 4's LED camera flash.
According to their anonymous source, the next generation iPhone - iPhone 5 will come with an LED indicator, just like BlackBerry.

we had complaints from polies about their bkackberrys that the flashing light would destract their driving when docked.

I wouldnt mind having an LED indicator. I missed it from my old BB days. However the one in the video blows.. Also the led will not take **** from your battery life.

I think this feature would be cool. If!!! It had multiple colors and maybe more than one if not something like what the 3DS uses would be nice. Why??? Because sometimes I play video games an I get lost in them and my gf tends to get annoyed or worry if I take arealky longTime to reply witch happens when I'm into the game. Plus I think if they add this then they will add a feature to turn it off or on. Also if it is colors it be cool that different contact groups get a diff color.

Nice, this feature would be great for the iPhone 5. I'm missing this indicator on my Galaxy SII.

Big F****n deal, the Japanese phones had LED notification, in different colors to indicate whether it's a call a message or an e-mail you missed, and all that years before Apple made the iPhone.

Well it's on the front. I don't think I'd be able to see it in my pocket. ( I put the screen facing my leg. Safety first!! ) But if it's in my hand then i'l clearly be notified through the notifications.
