Apple to Patch JailbreakMe 3.0 Vulnerability in Upcoming iOS Software Update [iOS 4.3.4]
As expected, Apple has confirmed that it will be patching the JailbreakMe 3.0 vulnerability in upcoming iOS software update – iOS 4.3.4.
Comex had released JailbreakMe 3.0 – one of the easiest solutions to jailbreak iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch yesterday, which uses a userland exploit to jailbreak and install Cydia on an iOS device.
Security experts have raised concerns that the vulnerability in iOS could be exploited in a similar way by malicious websites to install malware.

I agree with you 100% that he was a little **** for leaking it but Apple would have patched this either way. period.

Anyone who buys an ipad2 (or any other ithing) after 4.3.4 gets released won't be able to use Jailbreakme 3.0 ... pity.I used to get annoyed at whinging ipad2 buyers who were crying about not having a jailbreak for so long - that they shouldn't have bought an ipad2 until they knew it could be jailbroken, but it seems maybe it *is* a good idea to buy it and then sit in hope, rather than miss out on a jailbreakable one due to it shipping with an anti-jailbreak update.

Im lucky then. IPad 2 has been with me few months ago.

Yeah, iOS 4.3.3 was already jailbroken thanks to limera1n and i0nic's untether. Comex was saving JailbreakMe 3.0 for iOS 5 but after the leak, he was forced to release it.
