iPhone 4s In Space Aboard Space Shuttle Atlantis
We've seen the iPhone used for various experiments, but NASA has taken things to the next level.
Yesterday, Space shuttle Atlantis took off from Kennedy Space Center in Florida on its final mission carrying two iPhone 4 to International Space Station (ISS).

That's pretty cool. We've spent the last week at Kennedy Space Center and they mentioned that app. Glad you posted. The Shuttle mission is almost complete ( sad ) but the iPhone continues. Godspeed Atlantis!Regards, Steven

Notice the experiments don't include actually making calls with it. Smart move on NASA's part. Yes, I know "there are no cell towers in space", but I don't think that makes any difference. Lol. I wonder how fast the iPhones will be orbiting the earth...hopefully faster than 3Gs! Hahaha
