iSwype: Swype Jailbreak App Updated; Gets Blue Tracer Line, Improved Accuracy And Now Works In Most iOS Apps [Updated]
Andrew Liu – jailbreak app developer who unofficially ported Swype - the most popular alternative keyboard for Android devices to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch has released a new beta version of his jailbreak app on Cydia.
Yesterday, Swype Inc CEO Mike McSherry had said that the jailbreak app didn’t appear to be a port, as some of the key features such as the blue tracer line are missing.

The guy is doing a great job with swype but I'll wait till the final version. But its looking like a lot of fun.

Trying to use it right now and it seems to work ok. Truing too use it right now and it seems to work ok. I keep tyipping and some words it does not like all the words I try. It doest like contractions at all it seems. This ifs on my iPad 1, by the way, also using 5 row keyboard. I was afraid I would have too turn off 5 row but its ok. Also it types too instead of to consistently. I'm not correcting it very much so that you can see what its like.

I disagree. I'm using nnow with 5row and its pretty bloody good. You need to know yore word path. if you cross a letter that a word cold be made from then you casein (can) be in trouble. Epically with 2 letter words ire (I've) found. And it hastes abbreviated words. But other than threat (that) looking damn good. Thanks.

I had to remove it because it kept crashing Facebook and Twitter updates even when I wasn't using it. It's anmuch needed feature for our iOS devices. My friends who have Android powered devices make me jealous of it... Haha. I can't wait until it's finished!!

It has been renamed to iswipe, needs a update to place a space after each word other then that it works pretty good :)

Still accuracy needs to fixed. Auto spacing and auto correction would be very good. The swyping feeling compared to a samsung galaxy is still not yet reached. But I can see it turning out well in the future. Looking forward to the updates!

Does not work that well with me but does not make the regular way obsolete. Seems not to like my words and it removes spaces automatically :-(It is a good work in progress, keep on improving it :-))))Hope it will improve so it is more useful :-)Cedric

My bad...there is autocorrection and autospacing feature now after the update...just improving better accuracy and this is 100% legit!

it's decent. i can type much faster the original way though. installed, tested, two thumbs up, removed.

Tried to send out about five texts with it and I had to fix every word of it. Covers my texting box too so I can't even see what word it came up with in the first place. I'll try it when Apple finally really implements it.

I have been playing around with this for a few days and while it does work well sometimes, it completely messes up some words. I have also had a ton of trouble trying to type normally with iSwype enabled. I have to really slow down and type one letter at a time or it thinks I'm trying to swype, resulting in some really crazy words being suggested. It definitely has potential, but I'm disabling it for now until more improvements can be made.

Whenever I try to add the source, it doesn't work. I get errors and the source never downloads (it's a few yellow and red lines in the download window from Cydia) Any tips?

I tried iswype on an iDevice and love the concept but i see that it doesn't recognize french word ( i'm canadian living in montreal, so we text each other in french :p) and with the iDevice keyboard it's difficult to swype words with apostrophe or add a capitalization letter in the middle of a word. So i suggest if possible to make iswype work like a keyboard : only display letter swyped on and not check the spelling. For exemple i want to swype "veux", it displays "vex". Or if it's possible to have a dictionnary that we can add word in like on Android. I thank you for this application and can wait to see the official version :D

I'm using 3Gs, I tried to add "http://wynd.x10.mx/repo" . it shows it loaded something on to my phone. then at the end it throws some error.it says like this...sub-precess/bin/bzip2 returned an error code (2)GPG error: http://wynd.x10.mx./ Release: The following signature were invalid: NODATA1 NODATA2Failed to fetch http://wynd.x10.mx././Packages.bz2 Sub-process/bin/binzip2 returned an error code (2)Some index files failed to download. they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.then i retuned to Cydia and searched for "iSwype" but nothing came up.it would be great if someone could help me.

If you go to Sources and press Wynd.x10.mx, you will see that it's empty because it hasn't been updated properly. Restart Cydia and re-add the source and it should work. Also, the package name has changed to iSwipe
