Facebook For iPhone Updated - Will It Stop The User Revolt?
Ever since Joe Hewitt stopped working on Facebook for iPhone, it feels like Facebook has neglected the native app, which was considered one of the best iPhone apps when it was released.
Facebook has just released a new version of the app (v3.4.4) to address some of the issues reported by iPhone users.
Here's a quick look at the change log of the new version:

It's high time they released the Ipad version... it feels very much like they are dropping the ball on this one.

I hope Geohut is working on this making a better FB app for iphone an ipad and it will b a nice surprise if he develops a jb for ios5 trough FB... Then I woke up!

Weren't Apple and FB in talks a while ago that didn't go well? My theory is that FB is not working on the App on purpose to thumb their nose at Apple. Apple has just stated that they are adding Twitter to their next version, that seems like a slap to FB. This new mobile platform that FB has just put out requires Flash... which we all know iPhones don't support, therefore an apparent dig against Apple. I think the problems with the app are definitely intentional.

guys it's a big screen on the ipad just use the main website you don't need an app. DOH!!!!
-
It does not require flash "html5"

U need an app for ipad as well, please!

Sorry not as technically savvy as some of you. I don't know exactly what HTML5 is but you're right I was wrong about the Flash. It said on the FB post that it was a JAVA site. Still I don't think iphone supports that either. This was one quote from their post "The Facebook for Every Phone app will be available globally on Java-enabled phones starting today, and we are working on making the app compatible with even more handsets in the future."

@MeMe What a noob!! Java works on everything
