Apple has released Apple TV software update 4.3 for the second generation Apple TV.

According to the support document, the new Apple TV software update adds the ability to purchase TV shows on Apple TV 2G, re-download previously purchased TV show content and also support for video service Vimeo.

    so this means if you buy or rent a movie you have that movie forever as you can just download or strem the movie to a IOS device and watch it right???if yes, this is awesome news and good by bandwidth.

    it depends on the movie/show. Many only offer a 24 hour rental period but sometimes you can "buy" them. I have episodes of Battlestar Galactica that still work after a few years.
