Apple Releases iOS 5 Beta 5 For iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch & Apple TV To Developers
Apple has just released the fifth beta version of iOS 5 (build 9A5288d) to developers of iOS Developer program. Apple usually released iOS Software update on a weekday, so today's release caught us by surprise.
iOS 5 beta 5 is available for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4th generation, iPod Touch 3rd generation, iPad and iPad 2.

When I try to update to it it says iOS 5 is the latest version. I updated to beta 4 OTA so I don't know why it wouldn't work.

looks like an earlier rumor is true at the bottom of the picture you can see LED flash for alerts..... wonder where the LED is???

you first need to go into settings and reset phone. this will erase all data, so make a backup first through itunes or icloud. after that, you can check for the update and it will work. LED notifications are using the camera flash. I like it. Better than nothing i guess. Probably a sign of them adding a true notification light to the front of the iP5.

I have updated mine to beta 5 several times now and everything seems fine until i restore then everything still seems ok but for some reason i cannot receive any texts?! i can send them without any problems but just cant receive them!Anyone else experience this?

Yeah, I've been having to text myself to force it to push through texts to me on beta 4. It's stupid. However so far with this latest beta I haven't had that issue.

Ok, so I've managed to resolve the text situation. After deleting a whole bunch of texts it seems to be working fine. So I'm guessing that Apple have introduced a smaller sms storage limit in beta 5 than in previous versions, because I have never had this problem before.
