iPhone 5 Release Date - October 7th; Pre-orders - September 30th [Rumor]
Over the weekend, a report on TiPB claimed that Apple is planning to launch the highly anticipated iPhone 5 on October 7th.
Folks at 9 to 5 Mac are now reporting that they've received similar information from their sources. According to them, Apple will start taking pre-orders for the fifth generation iPhone on September 29th or 30th and will be officially available from October 7th or October 14th.

I am excited to see the actual iPhone 5, however, like many I ran to the apple store as soon as the Verizon iPhone 4 was available. The problem is, without huge expenditures, I will now have to wait for iPhone 6 or 7. My contract with iPhone 4 is still 1 1/2 yrs from beginning over!!!!!!!Nevertheless, switching to Verizon was a huge upgrade alone, despite the Verizon workers strike.

well it seems like if they dont hurry up and get IOS5 finished that these iphone5s will be shipped out with IOS4 software on them... cause if IOS5 aint released till the end of Sept. and if the iphone5 comes out on the 7th of Oct. then majority of the new units will have already been shipped out long b4 the end of sept and will still be running on IOS4

thats true ios5 cannot be released without the iphone 5, in this case looks like iphone 4s will be coming out wich people call it the iphone 5 I dought that the iphone 5 is coming out this year, its like the iphone 3g and then iphone 3gs, now it will be iphone 4 and iphone 4s, if apple releases the iphone 4s and the iphone 5 then they will loose a lot of money in sales for the iphone 4s.
