HP Announces Plans To Spin-Off PC Business; Will Discontinue WebOS Based TouchPad And Smartphones
HP has just announced that it plans to spin off its PC business and also confirmed reports that it is in talks with software maker Autonomy PLC.
HP has also announced that it will also stop selling TouchPad and smartphones based on webOS. It hasn't clearly stated what it plans to do with webOS. HP had bought Palm for $1.2 billion last year.

Shame about them discontinuing the idea, because I have had a go on a friends HP Palm and it was actually pretty neat :/

Go get one! They should be very discounted now...I am mad at HP for discontinuing their Tablet PC line - I was really hanging out for a successor to their TM2 convertible laptop/tablet.
