I dont think there is no scope of Apple wasting time on a TV. Managing inventory is not easy and TV is one such thing which wont have easy to deliver due to size and weight!

Errm wot? lol..That will be sweet, finally someone will be able to integrate picture in picture display. Can just imagine watchin tv and streaming something else in the corner of the screen.. I could think of so many ways where apple can go with this, it will make a huge impact on the tv industry, just like when apple stepped into the mobile phone market for the first time ;)
