iOS 5 Concepts: Notification Centre And UI Improvements, Dynamic Icons, Lion-Style Dashboard
Apple unveiled iOS 5 at WWDC 2011 Keynote, which includes more than 200 features for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users such as revamped Notification system with Notification Center, iMessage, PC Free, Wi-Fi Sync Newsstand, Reminders, deep Twitter integration and lots more.
It is currently in beta and widely expected to be released at the end of September or early October.

Even though it says "concepts" in the article heading, it really should state that these are 3rd party concept designs, and not official Apple concepts. (Yes, I know Apple doesn't release official concept designs, but still...)

Yes to the notification and UI improvements. I really like that way that an incoming call is displayed.I like the dynamic icons, but not the app previews or screens full of widgets - I can't see the point in having these when you can open the app just as quickly in most cases, especially with things like Facebook/Twitter notifications now able to appear in the notification centre. They spoil the simplicity of the UI and they'll drain the battery like Android does.
