iPhone 5 Will Sport Metal Back With Smaller Than 4-inch Screen?
So far we’ve heard conflicting reports about next generation iPhone’s form factor.
According to some reports including the purported iPhone 5 case design have indicated that the next generation iPhone will be completely redesigned and will look more like iPod Touch 4G rather than iPhone 4.

I want a screen on both side and I want "fringe" style bluetooth earpiece and I want ios to be used on my tv remote conttrol. Then i want all the women to be on ios. I could see them both side control them anytime then jailbreak them to make me king. Is that too much to ask?

Screen size will not be changed (maybe very small for what?) because the retina display is the major sales point. Even competitior will support larger and higher pixel counts to support the retina resolution. iOS device is not free for the non-integer ratio scale up.If they want to use a steal back panel, they should resolve the antenna interference first, actually, it is one of big challenge also.

To be honest I think when you get to a 4" screen it just becomes too large. Phones stop fitting in lots of pockets, it becomes harder to hold, it's just not something I like. I'd much rather it stay the same, or very slightly larger, size with the 'padding' becoming smaller.

If you don't put a bigger screen, I don't see it's worth upgrading. camera is nice and a little faster but if my iPhone 4 can handle ios5 I can't see a big enough change for an upgrade

I'm one of those who thinks that iPhone 4 design is just great and designs returning to original iPhone with metal back is a mistake. Phone size is perfect ( I find galaxy and so too big) but it would be great if screen could get a bit bigger without affecting phone size. What I want is new features like NFC, LTE or 1080p recording smoothly integrated (not like crappy android) in the device together with some more processing power. And of course... A little jailbreak!!

If the iPhone 5 does not have at least a 4" or larger screen, I'm ditching apple completely and going with a Samsung Galaxy S II. Apple needs to step it up and remain a high end smartphone competitor, not a Wal-Mart special budget rate piece of last years garbage that the iPhone has become! It's supposed to be a smartphone, with rich multimedia and web capabilities, yet they hold onto the small screen size of the original iPhone while all the other smartphone manufacturers are moving ahead to larger screens with sleek designs an more functionality. Get with the program Apple!!

Also those bigger phones are crap... Me and friends constantly laugh at them, reason being?Kids also can use phones, and also not everyone comes built with huge hands... If the iphone were much bigger, I wouldn't even be able to HOLD the damn thing! Also, he can fit it into his XXL jeans but not without struggle.... I mean that is pathetic size wise...The Samsung that my friend has I have to hold with 2 hands else I feel scared of dropping the damn thing... And no, I'm not a kid, I'm in my twenties...
