Report: iPhone 5 Hits Production; Packaging Delayed For iOS 5
According to Japanese site Macotakara, production of iPhone 5 has already kicked off at Apple's manufacturing partners' plants.
The report further claims that these devices aren't being packaged yet, since iOS 5 is still in beta and not ready to ship.

I bought an Android phone from a friend just to see what all the hype was about. This will be fun to play with but I will sell it once Iphone 5 is released. The user experience is just better on ios regardless if you can Jailbreak it or not. Anybody who disagrees must have never tried it.

The other day I was having a chat with my friend who bought a Galaxy S2, and he was all about how he had an FTP server, a Samba server, an SSH server etc. on his phone (he is a geek) and to do all that he had to root his phone. To almost all of the features he boasted about, I told him even I have(or could have)on my jailbroken iPhone. After which he was like, "yeah even I like Apple products but I hate that they're closed" to which I responded that for what you do, you had to root your device and I had to jb, so where's the difference. He could't respond.

I totally agree with you until recently I found that my Samsung infuse can do something my iPhone can't. I can download BT files and play direly off the phone, even rmvb files. and flash movie steaming to TV via includes HDMI adapter. But I'll still get the iPhone5 when it comes out.

Hey collegeofandroids,Will you *ALWAYS* be able to untethered jailbreak and unlock your iphone (including future iphones) while running the latest ios version??I know I'll always be able to root my HTC phone, because HTC lets me! (for newer phones anyway)Now I just have to get an HTC phone to replace my iphone3gs - if I do regret it, I'll be back in a few years for whichever iphone is out then.

if the home button is not working, just take it to the apple store and they will replace it with a new one. simple.

you can try a program called Quickdo available via Cydia. it is a virtual home and power button. works great for broken buttons

i yesterday i called up apple helpline to ask about iphone 5 ( when is it launching and the price).......they said " according to the information provided to them through the company,the company'll launch iphone4s instead of iphone5 and it will cost 199$(16gb, AT&T) and a new model of iphone4 would be launched(8gb, AT&T: 49$). The booking will start in last weak of September or in first weak of October.Pranav
