iPhone 5 Will Arrive On October 13th/14th If It Is Unveiled On October 4th?
So it looks like we finally have a date for Apple's big media event when it is expected to launch iPhone 5.
The thing that everyone probably wants to know is when can we get our hands on Apple's fifth generation iPhone 5, if Apple unveils it on October 4th. Fortune reports that according to Brian White, an analyst at Ticonderoga, the time between unveiling and releasing iPhone 5 will be considerably short this year, especially since it has been delayed.

The logical side of me says wait but the part that needs a new phone now says no. To be honest though, if there isn't much improved from the iphone 4, I may just get that one

Hopefully this chart is correct and the iPhone 5 gets released in a week after the media event. I will however take a leap of faith this year and pre-order my iP5 the minute the pre-order is available.

ii will wait till few weeks or months after the release of the phone. cuz if i ordered right away. i could maybe get delayed. so maybe i will wait till black friday to get it. i will see first how is the iphone 5.

Did the invitations go out or is this based on analyst predictions? I'm seeing "media even on oct. 4th" everywhere but none of them confirm actual invitations going out.

No, it is still a speculation at this stage, but Jim Dalrymple of The Loop who is known to have solid sources has also confirmed it, indicating it is quite likely. Apple usually sends the invite a week before the event.

If you have AT&T, look at your upgrade plan. It says October 13th you can buy an iPhone (not any other), regardless if you have recently renewed your contract and upgraded. I'm guessing the 13th is probably the sale date.
