iPhone 5 Media Event To Be Held On Apple's Campus?
Apple is expected to finally unveil iPhone 5 at a big media event on October 4th.
AllThingsD has learnt that Apple plans to hold the media event at the company's headquarters rather than the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) in San Francisco, which has been typically used for such big media events.
The news comes as a surprise as Apple has launched iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPad and iPad 2 at YBCA so far, which is a bigger venue compared to its Town Hall Auditorium .

Change to a smaller venue? My money is on only an iphone 4S if thats the case. Smaller venue = smaller release.

I want them to do this & fail with a 4s, rather than 5 model(Much as though I'd like an pad2 looking iphone).They have become too big now, & bigger certainly isn't better in their case. They have one of the most loyal customer fanbases on the planet & the bigger they get, the worse they treat them. They need to up their game. I'll be buying a Galaxy S2 on October 5th if they let us down again...

These updates are starting to get annoying...Why not make a mobile version if iphone hacks? I check this site daily and even under wifi it takes awhile to load a page :(

Love the iphone but it is starting to fall behind we are waiting for Apple to release a phone hopefully with a bigger screen better camera dual core processer. Guys the Galaxy S2 has been out for months with all that by the time Apple match it's spec Samsung will bring out their next improved model

As i've said earlier, it will be TRULY DISAPPOINTED if Apple launch a similar design like iPhone 4. They spent more than a year just to come-up with similar form factor/design, then Apple will not only disappoint me, Apple will disappoint the whole world. I'm expecting a total different design for iPhone 5, if is about the same like iPhone 4, I won't change.

Yep it's been this long and good old ip4 held me down. Also if they pull that 2 year then upgrade crap again I will get the next one. Can't pay 400$ for a little upgrade. I need wow factor. A epic phone that I can not live with out.

Disagree.New CEO MUST be hailed as a worthy predecessor. He must have the product in hand to help him transition. Having it at home base will be more meaningful. Redesigned iPhone5 along with iPhone 4gs, and months later HD iPad, following up with brand new Apple product. BET ON IT
