Redsn0w 0.9.9b3 to Jailbreak iOS 5 GM For iPhone, iPad And iPod Touch Released [Updated]
Even though Apple released iOS 5 Golden Master more than a month after the last beta release, the good news is that it is possible to jailbreak it.
iPhone Dev Team has released Redsn0w 0.9.9b3 for iOS 5 Golden Master to jailbreak iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
The Golden Master version is the shipping version of the software, so it means that it should also be able to jailbreak iOS 5 when it is publicly available on October 12th.

So lets say I restore my iphone to 5.0 GM, would my phone receive cellular signal?Because from what i’ve heard, the previous 5.0 betas did not allow phones to receive signal (unless you were jailbroken and did a little tweaking).I don’t want to jailbreak. Where is the untethered version?

The untethered version is not that easy to make, however, They told us that they are preparing the untethered version (with 5 exploits) for the final iOS 5 release (October 12th)

I have an iphone 4 running ios 5 gm, I get calls just fine, I have not found anything that doesn't work on my phone using ios 5 gm.

3GS, 4.2.1, wanting to upgrade to 5.0. I read the SN 4th and 5th numbers (mine are 24) need to be below 40 for the old bootrom. Is this correct? Any other way to find out if my 3GS is the old bootrom?

Hii ma name arun. frm japan... ma fone is a sofbank locked one.....I downloaded ios 5 GM frm torrentz.eu[ faster download] . Guyz once U finish dwnloadin chk the size of tht file.... after tht dwnloed redsnow 9.4 b....k........... keep a copy of the dwnloaded ios5 file and browse a copy in .94b[ hope evryone knw the process....... simply use the jail break option and install tht.... once its finished........... U might get the logo or if finshed get tht wait symbol............. [ dnt be panic...... ] tkae red snow again go to extras, there is an option to jst boot or smethn click tht follow the instructions..... wait a pinapple wil again cme........... once done......... U will get the login screen.... setup ur fone........... its jail broken................am not an expert .... but spent 12 hrs for ths... nd i got it done.......... cydia is not crashin as of now..... evrythn perfect.............U guys if U cud chk at the time of jail breakin........... smetimes U cud see sme error........ thn heck its gone............ jst chnge tht ios file.............. hope smeone got it done................... thnx
