Photos Taken Using iPhone 4S Look Impressive
Apple finally unveiled its hugely anticipated next generation iPhone - iPhone 4S at the Let's Talk iPhone event yesterday.
iPhone 4s comes with a number of new features and improvements. One of the major new features is an all-new 8-megapixel camera.

There is a creepy guy on the 7th picture behind that main rock on the beach, he does not look pleased.

4S cam will never replace my Canon 5D MarkII, but sure it looks good on higher magnification :)

Oh my God, NO!!! Just the improved camera WAS something I was getting really edgy about in iphone4S (because I'm planning on getting an HTC Evo3D).But now I feel vindicated. I'm sure it's great for a phone camera, but look at that first photo full-size. Luminance noise, LUMINANCE NOISE, L_U_M_I_N_A_N_C_E _ N_O_I_S_E!!! (check sky)(you could argue it gives an earthy tone to the photos, but ... it's not good to always have it!)

Depth of field blurring on the 2nd photo is impressive for a phone cam ... the luminance noise is still there, only it looks artistic in this photo - like a painting.

Honestly, looking at the 3rd photo, I'm thinking it would have been better to keep it as a 5 megapixel camera and just improve the lens as they have done. But you can't sell the same number as an improvement, can you?

Don't pictures usually look that way when full size on our screen? I think the pictures look much better now. I saved each one to my desktop and then viewed them full screen. They look great! When I view them at actual size they don't look as great, but I don't know many pictures taken with point and shoot cameras that do. The extra megapixels are for when you want to print pictures out. They aren't printed out at actual size. They are sized down to fit. Having more megapixels allows for the printing out of bigger pictures, but at the same time gives smaller pictures better detail. This camera is definitely much better than the previous one and that's all that matters to me. A point and shoot camera like this that also captures 1080P HD video would cost at least $150 I think, and it's just part of the iPhone. Pretty nice if you ask me.

Sure the picture quality is great, a better idea would be to post pictures from both an iphone 4 and 4s and allow us to make a side by side comparison to see if there's a noticeable difference in quality and worth the upgrade.

The camera looks sweet, but the jump in IQ is smaller then from 3g2 to iPhone 4, so even thou im a heavy iPhone 4 camera user im not THAT impressed

Zoom way in on the squirrels eye. You can see a reflection of someone using the volume button on a white iPhone taking the picture holding it with both hands. Awesome

If these are HDR photos, that might be responsible for this LUMINANCE noise.I would be more intersted in single exposures.Does it capture RAW :-)

By the way; Apple is lying about HDR. They make their so-called HDR's from a SINGLE exposure (and most create from that additional exposures; most probably +2EV and -2EV). Then the 3 exposures are rendered.Apple: that's PSEUDO-HDR, to be precise.

The first picture of air balloon has too much pixels, no good... lol...All are great shots.
