First Photo Taken Using iPhone 4S
The Chinese site - AppVV.com that had just posted the hands-on video of iPhone 4S, which revealed early benchmarks, the settings available for Siri - Apple's new intelligent personal assistant feature and also seems to have confirmed that iPhone 4S has only 512MB RAM, is on a roll.
They have now published a photo, which appears to be taken using iPhone 4S' 8-megapixel camera.

How is this even close to the first photo taken with the iPhone 4S?
-
You know what the hell they meant, if you would pay more attention, they cleared themselves up"The photo measures in at 3264 x 2448 pixels and makes it the first consumer photo taken using iPhone 4S." The first consumer photo. You must not be a guy, you must be a female, always got something to complain about.....

Ahahahaha... good one!!!
-
I was always under the impression that anything over about 3 megapixel looks the same until printed? The camera may be better, but the screen to view it is the same?
-
If you're only viewing it on the iphone then yes. Most of us transfer our pictures to our computer and share them online with friends and family. If you're browsing on a computer, click the image above and you'll see how clear and detailed the picture is.

What.... no side by side comparison with the iPhone 4?
-
Looks very good, on par with digital cameras.
-
Meh, moderately impressed... Still waiting for the night shots to see the 2.4 aperature in action.
-
Ah, that would explain it, I'm viewing on my iPhone.

Thanks Sony!!

bah, who cares. I will not waist a dime on the 4s.This will be the first rev I have skipped since the original... I also plan to look at some of the competition, although Im fairly certain I will have a hard time parting with the smooth IOS.*sigh*

Your casual sexism and denigration of all females is chilling and sinister. As is the quick and thoughtless support you got for your hateful statement.

This photo is one that is carefully chosen not to have much scope of showing luminance noise - what with it's naturally grainy background (tablecloth?) and foreground (etching print). From Apple's own previous sample photos, I'd say there's a lot of luminance noise, and it would have been better to match up the improved lens with the same number of megapixels on an enlarged or same size sensor - but you can't sell the same number of megapixels as an upgrade, can you? However, all being said, it's probably pretty good for a phone camera. Just not perfect like a perfect camera, which still has to have a big sensor and bulky lens to this point in technological time.

Ack! - punctuation fail, I didn't need the apostrophe in that first "its".
-
Sorry - that's wrong. There are compact digital cameras with less luminance noise than this one.And of course - you said "digital cameras" which suggests any digital camera, but you can *not* seriously think that this is as good as a digital SLR camera! It's far, far inferior to those. It's pretty good for a casual-use phone camera though. But I'd definitely feel very sad if I saw a beautiful landscape and only had an iphone4s camera to shoot it with while my digital SLR lay at home or something. (better than nothing though and better than previous iphone cameras)
