One of the most impressive features of Apple's new iPhone 4S is Siri - the intelligent personal assistant feature, which we believe could be as or more revolutionary than Apple's multitouch feature, which was introduced with the first iPhone.

Sadly, it doesn't provide much value to a user with a foreign accent, greatly reducing the appeal of the iPhone 4S.

I've got an accent when speaking English and SIRI recognise most of what am saying..

With respect to all foreigners of course it wont understand a FOB that a normal human being will find hard to understand lol... but im sure if you speak proper normal English, then its bound to understand you 99% of the time...

This Siri app sucks it's already **** up ask it anything and it can't find network or repeat apples **** us again promisses big never delivers

Same response as what I thought. One of my co-workers just got the 4s this morning and he has a bad accent and it recognizes him perfectly fine. Android, nice name, and learn to talk right!

Yes its does understand words & phrases better than any speech recon program ive every used, but thats it as for pros, its limited in fuction, cant even freaking create a contact, honestly, being able to tell siri to create a new contact with the number that i just finshed talking to while driving is to much to ask for? Like it was posted, cannot launch apps, switch between apps. Sure it has limited useability with in maps, but agian, driving, seeing a place of intrest, and instructing IT to place a marker in maps at current location and have it create a contact would be a hella convient function. Big deal it can launch the browser after hear a request of information. Once browser launch siri is done. Whats point of that!?!? Siri = polished up old technolgy.

Did you not notice that Apple is adamantly flagging Siri as a Beta technology? They couldn't have been more clear that this is just the beginning of what Siri will do.Talk about an overreaction.

i hava question. so when Apple finally “works on bringing local search and maps available to additional countries in 2012.” that would probably be in an iphone 5 right ? or will you be able to use ur iphone4s still and jus “upgrade” siri rather than buying nother phone ?

I was such a fan of what I thought SIRI was going to be. So far it is absolutely terrible. It understands me just fine but it can't actually DO anything. Not outside the house anyway, which is where I actually WANT to use voice commands. When I'm driving I would like to say "Call Mom" and have it actually call her. It will do it maybe one out of 10 times. What I get is "something's gone wrong". Completely disappointed in SIRI.
