Tips For Siri's Dictation Feature [iPhone 4S]
One of the useful features of Siri - iPhone 4S' intelligent assistant feature is the Dictation feature.
Jim Rhoades of Crush Apps has compiled a list of commands that Siri can understand while taking dictation. It should help you use the feature more effectively.
With Siri, you can press and hold the home button to activate Siri on the keyboard in any application and then utilize Siri's speech recognition to enter the text.

Forgive me, this comment has nothing to do with the article, but WHAT THE-?!?!?

Their not hacks, their tips (as the title says)

He's saying thanks for that "iPhone hacks". He is addressing the website not the tips.

Thank you, someone with a brain :)

Thanks, this will be excellent for those who use Siri for email.

*they're(think before posting idiotic comments, Cb was referring to the title of the website)

if you do not have the latest iphone, just install Vlingo and set it via the jailbreak app Activator to launch after a long press of the home button. It works just as well as Siri, if not better because you can also post updates to you Facebook profile with it. Highly recommend.

It's "they're", not "their", and the site is "iphonehacks", dufus.

haha - sorry, I was "WHAT THE-"ing about the website re-design

It's they're hacks and tips. Ignorance of the use of they're, their and there makes you look, well ignorant.

'Full stop' works for '.' and 'exclamation mark' works for '!'. #ukenglish

What if you want to actually use these things in a sentence? How would you prevent Siri from taking the action/using the symbol, and instead force Siri to write out the word?
-
Say "dot-dot-dot" - ...

My problem is that every pause in my dictation is greeted by SIRI with "do you want to send - I can't even finish a sentence without SIRI asking if I want to send. Anyone have any suggestions? I am not a slow talker.
