Analyst Claims Apple Is Already Building Prototype Televisions For 2012 Launch

Over the weekend, an excerpt from Steve Jobs biography revealed that he felt that he had finally cracked integrated Television sets, which seems to suggest that Apple may launch its own Apple branded television sets in the future.

Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster who has predicted the launch of an Apple branded Television now claims that Apple is already building prototypes of Apple Television set and could launch it as soon as next year.

I dont think i would buy a tv made buy apple. I own alot of apple products. But i couldnt see upgrading my tv every year for the new a7 or a8 chip in them. If they made the chip upgradable that would be better. But at that point i would just stick with my little black box atv

Voice controlled TV with siri will be awesome. Will change the way watching television. NO more remote control. I will buy one... I think it will be new era for televison.

I'll buy one for sure. Just look at a Company like B&O where the cheapest tv cost around 2500 and for a 50" you have to pay like 5000-12000 us dollar. But like Cj (#2) wrote then I also fear that I will need to buy a new tv every year.

You dont need to buy a new TV every year. Plus TVs will be like Mac Pros, will get updates in every 2 years, not every year.

if a macbook ranges from 1500-2500$ apple tvs will probaly go for 10k or more...maybe invest in apple and make some cash to buy one when its released next year ;)
