Apple Releases Apple TV Software Update 4.4.2
Apple has just released Apple TV software update 4.4.2 for the second generation Apple TV.
It has been less than two weeks since Apple released Apple TV software update 4.4 (iOS 5) and a week since it released Apple TV software update 4.4.1. It is not clear from the release notes if Apple has introduced any changes or fixed some bugs in the latest update.

hey, it's only $99 and it's got some useful things on itI mostly use it for netflix

It's awesome when it's jailbroken, xbmc installed and icefilms plugin ( free movies and tv shows :)

Xbmc/ Navi / Hulu / seetv / lastfm/ the list go on....... Ahhhh play flash videos too

Excuse the newbie questions, but I just bought an Apple TV running iOS 4.2.2. I have a jailbroken iPad on 4.3 and jailbroken iPhone on 4.3. The reason I haven't upgraded to iOS 5.0 is that I don't want to lose my untethered jailbreak on either device.Is there anyway I can either a) update the Apple TV to iOS 4.3 (given I imagine Apple aren't signing off on 4.3 for Apple TV anymore?) And b) If I cant do that am I better off updating the ATV to the latest official update to get all the official benefits? And c)Is there at least a tethered jailbreak out that will work ok with the ATV once upgraded? I really don't get how this one works as I don't want to connect my ATV2G to my PC every time it power cycles! Sorry to be a hassle with all the questions but I'm having trouble finding some clear information about the state of the AppleTV2 jailbreak situation, and its made even more difficult given I'm currently only running crappy old un-jailbroken 4.2.2.Thanks for your help.

always use firecore's Seas0nPass for jailbreaking appleTVthey release very good jailbreaks and the release them the fastest IMO

You mean 4.4.2?Can downgrade to 4.3 version using seas0npass for untethered jb.
