Here's How Much Data Siri Uses
If you have bought Apple's new iPhone 4S then you probably know by now that Siri - iPhone 4S' intelligent personal assistant needs an active internet connection for it to work. That's because when you ask Siri to do something, the voice data is sent to Apple's data centers where your request is processed and the results are sent back to your iPhone 4S.

Great article, it is almost unbelievable how much data is obtained everyday. I love hearing about things like this though - did you know that information typically doubles every 18 months! I disagree. Very useful when you want to use the phone but your hands are busy or when ii's faster to use it vs. flipping through screens and taping and typing. I use it while i'm walking or driving to set reminders or to send sms

Not much data ... still, it's nice to send all that data to Apple...

nah.. iphone processing the voice to words, and transfer it to server less than 10kb..thus i dont see that siri needs that big much datause shazam. similarly they sending wave, not the recording mp3. thus the file transfer is basically smaller.
