Official Gmail App For iPhone, iPad And iPod Now Available in the App Store [Updated]
As rumored, Google has just released the highly anticipated native Gmail app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
Even though the Gmail web app is one of the best web apps, we've been waiting for Google to launch a native Gmail app ever since the iPhone was launched.

the lack of multiple accounts sucks greatly wont use it till it has that feature

Don't bother searching for the app in the App Store, just use this App Store link that we've provided to download it.

Search "gmail" then arrange by release date. First one.

No longer available. They are probably testing the issue.I think it was suppose to come out in conjunction with gMail GUI remodel also, as I got prompt for new gMail today online.

I downloaded the app awhile ago with the app link on this page, but now I can't access it. I tried to access it from US app store.

Why does gmail need a native app when the Mail app already does all that stuff AND supports multiple inboxes / non gmail inboxes? Maybe I'm missing something.

I too am confused by this? I'm not sure I see any reason to switch to a Gmail app, especially when I have additional non-gmail accounts to check.

Why need of this app?? Push notification and multiple account??? Why? You just need configure your gmail account on your Mail app. You will be able to add more multiple accounts and receive notification on new mail....

What is it that u don't like about the native mail app dean? The one and only thing I wish it could do is Fetch more frequently than just every 15 min... Either way, that's a minor thing and I honestly don't see any flaws in Mail.app, it has all of the features of the gmail app from what I've read here
