Waaaaauw a tethered jailbreak, breaking news

Cool to know that this jailbreak fixes iBooks crashing issue for iOS 5. Although I'm really hoping that there will be an unthedered jailbreak soon for the iPad 2. Waiting patiently for this jailbreak and hope it's released soon

SB2.8b8 casues problem when switching keyboard to a different language, specifically asian languages like chinese. Does this release also fixed this issue?

Please! We need an Untheter Jailbreak...! :^(

I am ready to pay $ 5 for unttethered JB.

Stop asking for an untethered jailbreak - if there is one, it will not be released till apple releases the 5.01 update at the earliest as that would just let apple fix it in the update and you will all be whining about when the untethered jailbreak for 5.01 will be released. Have a little patience.

4s jb who cares bout rest. >=)

Yeah jailbreak for iPad 2 is required on iOS 5.

As Ranaway said: Sn0wbreeze 2.8b11 crashes when switching keyboards (to Chinese in my case). Major pain in the a**. Has this been addressed? About to try redsn0w 0.9.9b8 to see if the Chinese keyboard issue is addressed... will update.

For the international Keyboard/System crash, specifically the Chinese one (not tested with other asian languages) I was unable to find a fix whilst using sn0wbreeze. If I changed the system language to Chinese, it would go into an infinte reboot loop and would have to restore to a custom IPSW again. I have, however, found an alternative method for using iOS 5.01 - use the latest redsn0w (a custom IPSW with 0.9.10b5 in my case). This seems to be working fine (tested different apps and languages as a new iPhone setup) and hasn't crashed yet. Fingers crossed this post doesn't jinx the process (currently in the process of restoring from a backup). [I'm on an old-bootrom 3GS)
