Apple should just try and release this soon, cba to wait weeks my battery life is terrible...

Anyone know if the enable 3G switch is back in? I'm sat here with a very expensive brick, I don't get 3G coverage very much and we all know that iPhones just cling to 3G
-
On my 4s under network it says personal hotspot, and to the right of it the wheel is just spinning the whole time, can't turn it on or off, maybe my phone dies fast because it's always running
-
I'm running iOS5 on my iPhone 4 and in Settings/General/Network there is a toggle 3G switch.
-
I tried to replicate this on my iPhone 4 but there is no room for a spinning wheel to show up anyway. Under Settings (and 3rd option from the top) make sure Personal Hotspot is toggled to off.
-
You can't turn hotspot on or off, it's like if you tried to turn it on/off and the wheel will spin to let you know it's running.. That's all it does
-
Bugger, I will ask the obvious, have you tried powering the iPhone down and restarting?
-
Yea.. Nothing.. And I have no 3G on/off just cellular data, data roaming and personal hotspot
-
Don't understand why Apple would leave the 3G toggle out for the iPhone4S. Probably because of Siri though. You could try Settings/General/Reset/Reset Network Settings. Don't know if it would fix it, but I have read about problems before with network settings and the fix was to wipe the network settings when updating and restoring from backups etc.

1. Delete all of your email accounts.2. Reset network settings.3. Reboot phone.4. Add your email accounts.5. Under location services / system services: disable diagnostics & usage, location-based iads, setting time zone. These steps should fix the battery issue. It'll fix the spinning wheel issue next to mobile hotspot as well. I have everything turned on except what's listed above and I'm getting decent battery usage.

How many betas will this one have?

My 1 month old 4 ( not 4s) working without charge on standby 1 day only after upgrade to 5, proximity sensor is almost down and I have problems with call sound :( All was good with 4.3

I think it's 4S only where the 3G switch has vanished. Lousy on apples part if you ask me!
