iH8sn0w has also released Sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 10 to jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 beta 2 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch that was seeded to developers of iOS developer program.
Redsn0w 0.9.9b8 that was released to jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 beta also works with iOS 5.0.1 beta 2, all you need to do is point it to iOS 5.0.1 beta 1 firmware file.

I have to laugh whenever I read a "what is taking so long" or "this tethered jailbreak is BS". It sounds like some of you think part of your payment for your phone included Jailbreaking services. It absolutely amazes me just how ungrateful some people can be. People who have NEVER written a piece of code seem to think it's easy coming up with a solution the average idiot can apply without bricking their phone. If you play the PC version of COD4, my nick is STFUandDIE!!! I think it applies here!

Oh come on people! I have been waiting patiently for a long time, but now I'm am getting really frustrated. There hasn't been a jailbreak for iPad 2 for the newest firmware for over 3 months. If there is never going to be a jailbreak then just say so! I'm tired of waiting!

While it does seem a bit childish to complain about a free, more or less bootleg service, Cydia still had a profiting market and jailbreaking still has to remain competative or people will just forget about it and enjoy their apple servitude. So there is pressure on the developers to come up with a fully functional jailbreak. That being said, you can easily just backup the phone on a laptop so it's easy to restore if you need to restart. Unless your out in the woods it shouldn't be a Problem. Just keep the laptop in your car. They're dirt cheap these days and you already paid for that ridiculously expensive iDevice so there's no excuse.

Firstly, thankyou iPhone dev team and other iPhone hackers that have provided us with an amazing product time and time again.Bob - suck it up. If you bought an iPad 2 but needed a jailbreak then you really should have thought a little before your purchase. Plenty of iPad 1's around that are very jailbreakable at a decent price.The I device coders offer an excellent service for nothing or worse than nothing abuse. If you dislike the state of the iPhone hacking scene roll up your sleeves and do a bit of coding to help out. You don't have the skill? Well then, shut up and be thankful to the guys who slave away at their computers putting together a solution for you to winge and **** about. Be thankful these guys are generous enough to share their knowledge and skill with the world.

I completely agree. Dev team DOES make money off of some products. Specially when they are also making up Jailbroken apps that you sit and pay for. And I will say too, people actually donate a great deal of money to these people. I myself have paid at least $400+ in the past 3 years.(Averaging here and there.) I upgraded to the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S because I needed the extra speed the A5 chip offered up. Not to mention the need for the damned 64GB hard drive. (Which should have fuckin' been here at the release of the damned iPhone 4.) Anyways, if these guys don't usually cough up the products people usually just say "**** IT" and leave Jailbreaking behind. And in turn people like "Big BOSS" and other Hackers out there lose out on tons of $$$. I'm a patient man, but even I'M getting a little annoyed they haven't released a Jailbreak for the A5 Processor yet. I'll stick around like always. But I'm not sure if I'll be donating any more $$$ till I actually see proof of an A5 jailbreak.(Other than that stupid tidbit they showed 2 weeks ago.)

I agree.It works for me also. My OS5 on the Iphone 4 was has been jailbroken immeadiately after the release with the Tethered version of redsn0w_win_0.9.9b4. At the begining i had always my laptop and cable with me, now i realize that there are computers all over any time which i can access easely when i'm on the outside. So i put in a pendrive the " iPhone3,1_5.0_9A334_Restore.ipsw" + jailbroken ipsw"sn0wbreeze_iPhone 4-5.0.ipsw" + " redsn0w_win_0.9.9b4" and it fits on my pocket. My cable is also always with me and i never get stucked. Let the people work on another solution but be gratfull that there is already a Tethered version. For me works well.

I tried JB and adding the iPad baseband using Snowbreeze 2.8-10. It jailbroke ok and I restored with iTunes up untill I get the Apple logo with the empty bar at the bottom. The Snowbreeze logo showed first and the bar filled up, but it is stuck at the Apple logo with an empty bar at the bottom for more than 2 hours. What happened? Any idea?
