    why do people want GPS so bad? its your phone...you know where you are...i mean its on you...and if you leave it at home on accident...you still know where it is...and im sure youll know where you are...and if say your going on a road trip...pretty sure you wouldnt do that without first having directions or a map...i mean...WHATS THE POINT? someone help me out and lemme know?...thanks

    The biggest things is being able to navigate on the fly. I don't want to have to do trip planning any more. I want to navigate wherever I'm at. Finding restaraunts and shopping centers while I'm travelling without having to lug around a laptop is also a huge plus. Furthermore, with real GPS you can get turn by turn navigation that is spoken to you so you can drive without having to look at the directions. Personally, I'm very upset that apple didn't include a real GPS chip in the iPhone. I really hope its in iPhone 2.

    GPS is by far the coolest invention on a phone. Even though the iPhone does not contain a true GPS unit, it does a dam good job using triangulation.
