Android-like Auto Correct Keyboard Bar Discovered In iOS 5; Step-By-Step Guide To Enable It Without Jailbreaking
It looks like Panorama mode wasn't the only feature Apple has hidden in iOS 5.
iOS hacker Sonny Dickson has discovered an Android-like auto-correct keyboard bar hidden in iOS 5.
The feature can enabled easily without the need to jailbreak your iOS device by following these instructions courtesy 9 to 5 Mac:
1. Download iBackupBot
2. Backup your iPhone/iPod in iTunes
3. Open iBackupBot and find the backup, then load it.

Nice:DFirst.

i don't believe this exists on the ipod touch. at least on my jailbroken touch 4g and navigating to that location in ifile. or anywhere for that matter after a search i just performed..
-
i'd rather have iTypeFastR.
-
Nice indeed.... if it works!!!!when i try to save it in iBackupBot, gives me the error: Found non-key inside at line 6HELP?
-
Does it work for the beta 5.0.1?
-
Wooow, so many new hidden features in iOS 5.

-
Didn't work
-
Weird... I just did it and it worked (sort-of)... I can't see it when I use the "English" keyboard but I can see it when I switch to "Japanese Romaji" or "Japanese Kana" keyboards... of course these won't work for me because I don't speak Japanese. LOL!! :) I wonder if he was using the "English" keyboard or something else.

It works on my ipod 4g
-
It worked for me. Thanks!
-
Tried that doesn't seem to work for me I assume you leave the "" in ?
-
I tried it.... but it has a glitch. and had to remove it...when I tried to input my password to the iTunes store, which includes a Cap and 2 digits... i was unable to enter it.I tried 10 times. whenever I switched to digits... the previous characters where erased.now I understand why apple hid this gimmick.
-
without the "" thoCheck the spelling, it's important.

All Android fanboys would now have one more argument in the iOS vs Android debate :P

Neat, but buggy... If you spell a word correctly and press space, instead of a space it skips to the next recommendation! lolEg was trying to txt my girl "How are you doing" after typing "How" I pressed space and it moved to the next recommendation "Joe" and so forth. Pressing that up arrow causes app to crash back to springboard too, and if you're in spotlight causes springboard to crash!Nice try apple, good luck next time!

Aye. It sucks that you have to press "confirm" after each word. After you press "confirm", "space" opens up instead of "next"
-
It's a cool find but where can you take advantage of this? Primarily, I text alot, and I notice it only opens up in notes.
-
It also works in reminders, calendar, and a couple others but why not messages?
-
I can see why it was hidden, it's very hard to type with and annoying! Uninstalling
-
It's in Cydia nowTried it, didn't like it, uninstalled it :(The confirm button was a bit of a pain in the hoop!!
-
when i restore the backup, i met error code-20. Could u help me and what it mean?
-
Its Waste of Time Guys its very very very waste ................I tried but am not happy with this
-
Garbage.

After switching this feature on, I quickly figured out why Apple abandoned it. Because it tries to predict EVERY word you type, you have to confirm every word before moving onto the next one. This just makes it annoying to type, as the native spell check is much more intuitive.
