Autocorrection Bar: Jailbreak Tweak Enables Hidden Android-like Auto Correct Keyboard Bar In iOS 5
Yesterday, iOS hacker Sonny Dickson had discovered an Android-like auto-correct keyboard bar hidden in iOS 5.
We had published a step-by-step guide to enable the hidden feature without the need to jailbreak your iOS device, which involved manipulating a system file.

It's not very practical - I have to hit Confirm after each word!? slows everything down! terrible

help me. I downloaded it, hate it, deleted it from Cydia, and it's still there when I text. How do I get rid of this thing?

I had the same problem. I went into the keyboard plistLibrary/Preferences/com.apple.keyboard.plistand just deleted the entire the Autocorrect line "KeyboardAutocorrectionLists NO"Rebooted with tethered JB. Seems to have done the trick

If you uninstall and it's still there, just reinstall it, disable it in settings, then uninstall it again. :P

so many people uninstalled it? Is it because it's still in its pre-beta stage?

I had a problem with the autocorrect not going away after disabling it too. Opening the task switcher and manually closing apps fixed the problem for me. Oh and it's a horrible implementation. Hopefully apple does better or keeps it hidden.

4s you can still use iresign with a dev sig file to do what most of you all do with your jailbreak anyhow.

As Simon Phoenix once said in Demolition Man, "Exactamundo". Disable in settings, respring, delete in cydia, and removed. Don't understand the other way to remove. Seems like it was over anlalized. I thought it was gonna be way better than what it seemed. Who knows, maybe after a couple of updated it may be worth it

i am a jailbreak novice but i use google for all my jailbreak needs and use cydia for all my tweaks. i have had auto text prediction on my for for several months now. so please; this is nothing new! for the guy that said u have to confirm every corrected word, THAT IS WRONG!you only have to press the corrected word once and continue typing if u want to reject the correction; u press x.i am presently combining auto text correction and swype for my text needs.....ITS WAY BETTER THAN THE ANDRIOD EXPERIENCE....yes i have an evo g4 too.

same problem. sucky program that hijacks your custom shortcuts and is impossible to use. tried to delete but it still shows up.

Found a way to remove it. Install and Enable "Color Keyboard". Then Disable, then Remove Autocorrection bar from Cydia....POOF! no more autocorrection bar!

Ugh, I hate this thing. Can't believe unable to uninstall it like a "normal" Cydia app. Crazy!

BEFORE you uninstall the silly thing from Cydia, be sure to DISABLE the feature from Settings first. Only then you shall proceed with uninstalling. Otherwise this piece of useless junk will haunt you downnnnnnnnnnnnnn.
