Rocha Software has released a new iOS app called Song2Email in the App Store.
As the name suggests the app allows iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users to send songs from your music library to their friends via email.

C'mon for €0,79 / $0,99. If you really want it, buy it- When opening the attachement on my iPod (send from my iPad2) it plays it, but it doesn't download it in the songlist :/, So everytime i want to listen i have to open the attachement :/

Shouldn't this be illegal? What is the difference from just downloading the songs for free?

You know there is also music you can download and share legally right?

This is perfectly legal as long as you don't use it to break the law you can sent yourself music that you legally acquired or send anyone you want a song that's aready in the public domain. And I'm sure this is true because I'm sure that people on a hacking web sight are very conciseous about copyright laws. But I do agree apple will probably pull it

Well, you guys are saying that it can't be added to your library. You can only go to theMail to play it so that's probably why theyAllow this. It sucks.

This is a nice app but wont it consume too much data by sending through email!

Remember that what you save and play will still contain some info (not just metadata) about the purchase. If they were tracking GPS locations on the Iphone, why not tracking the illegal songs downloaded?. For those who get the legally free music this is still a great app.
