Method To Unlock iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS Without Jailbreaking Appears To Be Temporary
Yesterday, the blogosphere was abuzz with news that it was possible to unlock iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS without the need to jailbreak your iPhone.
When we first read about it, it seemed quite unbelievable, but various user reports, a video and confirmation from sites like Gizmodo seemed to suggest it works.

Ohhh wow too bad. I have no plans on changing carriers, but i was quite happy when the news was out. I wish the dev team can work on this bug and work out an official unlock.Thank you iphonehacks !

what if i don't use my original sim again and i keep using the newly ulocked activated sim. in this case, will TMSI spoil my unlock or it will be permanent??

I have a 3gs running on 5.0.1 and 05.16.05. I followed the list, but when I plug in the tmoble sim card I get a sim failure message. I know the sim works because I put it into my wifes JB & Unlocked iphone 2, I get service and can make calls.....Any Ideas what to do???????

U have jailbreak and don't hackivate and use AT&T and don't enable the location and use ultrasnkw the that's it

Hi,I bought a 3GS from AT&T and has firmware 4.3.5 (8L1) and baseband 5.16.02, model MC555LL. i jailbreak the phone with Cydia. I read on different sites that the only way unlock the baseband is tu upgrade to the ipod baseband.My question is that upgrading to the ipod baseband, it will work?Thanks.

This glitch plus a little code and my 4s is unlocked for good. Want to thank the guy who figured this out. It's the fact that the phone is in airplane mode while shaking hands with the carrier that makes this work

how did u do it? like i have got the bars when i put it in my tmobile sim card even when my orginal att sim was inactive...i cant seem to unlock it without an active att card...if you dont mind me asking which codes did it work for you with ?
