iPhone 4S Pricing In India Revealed And It's Not Cheap
Few days back, we reported that iPhone 4S was coming to India on November 25th, however we were not sure how much Apple's new iPhone would cost in India.
Times Of India reports that the iPhone 4S pricing is out and it is not going to be cheap to buy one.
Times Of India reports:
Airtel will be selling the iPhone 4S base model (16 GB) at Rs 44,500 whereas the top-end 64 GB model will cost Rs 57,500. The 32 GB model will be sold for Rs 50,900.

I was planning to get the iPhone 4S. I sold my iPhone 4 for it (before the launch of the iPhone 4S). I am disappointed with the pricing. Other than the weakening currency, Apple India has always taken customers for a ride. Agreed about the currency issues but how can they charge $200 more than the previous iPhone, whereas in other countries the new version's pricing is same as the old one. Really sad to be an Apple fan in India, because it clearly is visible that Apple just wants your money.I have dropped the idea of the iPhone 4S, because the cost of the iPhone 4S 64 GB is more than a 11" Macbook Air!

Rubbish....I always wanted to upgrade my iphone to iphone 4s and was planning to when release in India but pricing too.......... high... infact its almost a robbery.. Now I would settle for samsung SII .. In my opinion Indians are not stupid to pay so much... I only wish them luck.... :P

i got my 4s 32gb from germany vodafone factory unlocked for 1100$ ... i then did a tax refund which was 200$ and it worked out @ 800 dollars...no to shabby :D

If you're talking about Voice and SMS charges, its super cheap. 3G is a bit expensive, but it is expected to come down soon.

No way in hell!! I bought the iphone 4 about a month after its launch(in Spain) and personally its not worth upgrading to the 4s - and at those prices ..wow...i dont expect many people to buy it.On a different note ...if i recall when the iphone 3g was launched, there was a midnight opening.....

It is better to buy unlocked iPhone 4S from US through friends or relatives instead of buying it at this high price. The 64GB unlocked version in US is still cheaper than the 16GB version in India.

its called middle-man markup. apple sells it for the same, just another distributor and then Airtel take cuts and raise the price to the consumer
