Rumor: Apple Dumps Samsung In Favor Of Sharp To Manufacture Low-Power Retina Displays For iPad 3
It has been widely speculated that Apple's next generation iPad - unofficially dubbed iPad 3 will sport a Retina display like iPhone 4S and iPhone 4.
Recent reports have however suggested that Apple may have to increase the thickness of iPad 3 by 0.7mm to accomodate the twin bar light bar system.

Sharp does have a nice display in all their mobile phones.Since I have used several sharp mobile phones and surely does provide a long battery life.This would be a plus for Apple if Sharp would produce the retina display and apply for every Apple products.But I hope there would be no any problem in the future similar to Samsung...

Samsung's relationship with Apple reminds me of Saddam Hussein's relationship with the U.S. They used to be buddy buddy until Saddam thought it would be ok to invade Kuwait just like Samsung and Apple were buddy buddy until Samsung thought it would be ok to totally rip Apple off. Apple will now invade Samsung in their own territory (televisions) and totally destroy Samsung on their home turf.

Its not that samsung has been slipping, it is that apple has lately had a beef with samsung over copyright patents. And apple is trying, to wean off samsung.
