Apple Seeds iOS 5.1 Beta To Developers
While we wait for Apple to release iOS 5.0.2 to fix the remaining bugs that is affecting battery life, it has seeded iOS 5.1 to developers of iOS developer program.
iOS 5.1 beta (build 9B5117b) is available for iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad 1, 3rd gen iPod touch and 4th gen iPod touch.
It isn't clear what new features and changes Apple is planning to introduce in iOS 5.1 as Apple hasn't provided any details in the release notes.

A jailbreak for the 4S to be released... that's what I wish for in iOS 5.1
-
i'm on 4.3.3 untheterd - planing to go to ios-5 eventuallyshould i upgrade to 5.0.1? OR WAIT?
-
IMHO iOS 5+ doesn't bring anything that warrants losing your untethered JB so I would sit tight.
-
I'm just hoping for the untethered jailbreak for iOS 5. It's really a pain keeping an eye on the battery levels. Oh well, all the best to the guys working on it.
-
Hoping for more use in Siri.
-
Siri Canadian location and untethered jailbreak.
-
Agree i have the iphone 4s and im dieing for the jailbreak to be released
-
If siri can launch apps. That will be awesome .
-
Setting toggle, ie turn bluetooth off

I wish iPhone 4 have Siri in iOS 5.1.....:)

Dude, just go and upgrade. iOS 5 without a jailbreak has enough new sh** in it to keep u busy without a jailbreak for a couple of weeks but I would jailbreak it anyway. Tethered is not that big of a deal. I never restart the phone anyway. Well maybe about once a week to clear it put but I know so many people who never restart
-
Damn, I slipped and hit publish by accident. Lol. But especially girls. They never restart. Just install a respring app from Cydia so it puts an icon on the springboard just in case it crashes you can respring from safe mode from that app because sbsettings doesn't work in safe mode. I've been using the tethered since it came out for ios 5 which was out right away and had one problem early on when most tweaks weren't working yet but now everything's fine and I have a lot of tweaks installed. Once a week I hook it to the iMac and reboot it just to clear everything out. iOS 5 or 5.0.1

what i wish in 5.1? for starters profile. profiles than utilizes a set of parameters for sound, ringer, vibrate, data conn, BT, WIFI and so on. something that exist for DECADES on other cheap ass phones.next: a MULTITASKING TURN OFF. i bet 80% of the iPhone users don't want nor care about the multitasking. all it does is eat the battery.finally: would be cool to have official BT, WIFI, DATA, airplane toggles. SBS does it just fine so JB is needed here. i am a sponsor of most official apps & stuff, but doing the right thing doesn't always mean doing the right thing.

Going to iOS5.1 and no Untheter Jailbreak, Even Jailbreak 4 i4S...! Dear GOD..!
-
Siri for iPhone 4 and fix the contacts bug!!!
-
I'm the other way around, since upgrading to ios 5, I haven't found a need for jailbreak!
-
Clear as mud.
-
3G unrestrictor, SBs settings and 5 icon row and dock is all I need for my 4s!!
-
All this waiting for 4s JB might be in our favour assuming no holes that the Devteam are currently focussed on are being plugged in the 5.1 update! Could be a win win here!
-
i only JB for BiteSMS - that's basically the only app i use
-
hoping for siri on iphone 4 and 3gs
-
On the wish list - I want the frikkin' video cables to work again!! LOLApple continually ignores this issue. I have the official cables and the last time they worked was on 4.2.1 on the iPhone 4. Before that, the last time was 3.2.1 on my 3G. And now they don't even work on a 3G on 4.2.1.I'm afraid to buy the one for HDMI out because online blogs report that people are still having the same issue regardless. AARGH!!

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4211"Multitasking in iOS allows you to switch instantly between apps and to resume an app. When you return to an app, you can pick up right where you left off. Multitasking doesn't slow down the performance of the foreground app or drain battery life unnecessarily."

I hope they resolve all the issues in this.
