Rumor: Apple May Launch 4G LTE iPad Next Summer; 4G LTE iPhone By Fall
Nikkei Business reports that Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo will start offering the next generation iPhone and iPad.
According to Nikkei Business, the Japanese carrier has reached an agreement with Apple to launch an LTE iPad next summer and LTE iPhone next fall.
NTT DoCoMo is the predominant mobile phone operator in Japan and holds more than 50 percent of the cellular market.

There's a reasoning behind apple when they name stuff. It seams like the only reason they went with iPhone 4 was to separate if from the fact that its NOT 4G and not just the series numbering. So this time since it is 4G they might just call it the iPhone LTE not necessarily by the generation number. But then again it might. Besides "iPhone 6" doesn't roll of the tongue. I can see them calling this the iPhone 4G or the LTE iPhone for all intensive purposes, not iPhone 6.

I don't see the point in posting something that isn't from a verifiable source. Just pure observation. Wouldn't the next step be LTE models if they're running 3g or 3g+ now? I'm guessing they'll be on a A6 chip as well....
