Apple Reportedly Testing GPU Drivers for Higher-Resolution iPhone Screens
iPhone 4S and iPhone 4's Retina display is high resolution, but a report by a German tech blog claims that Apple is working on even higher resolution displays, and is testing GPU drivers for dual-core and quad-core processors to handle things.

There is some thing wrong, if they increase the pixel without integer multiplication, there is no way to avoid the quality loss when they use the old application. This is the typical things for the LCD type display. If you have LCD monitor, just change your resolution as not native of screen resolution.

The world has gone mad, there is no need for higher resolutions on the iPhone! Inreased resolutions mean more CPU load, which is bad for the battery consumption and apps which already push the CPU. If there is no easy way for developers to support new resolutions we are going to see them not bother to upgrade their software.

I thought the idea of retina display was that it was the best the human eye could see?? How can you better that I the eye can't see it?

Article is wrong, technically the Rezound is a higher pixel density than the iPhone4/s now.

A higher resolution than the current iPhone? Should be the AMOLED.
