Android Ranked the Most "Closed" Open Source Platform [Infographic]
Android was ranked as the most "closed" out of 8 major open source projects in a report by VisionMobile. At the same time, it's also arguably the most successful.
VisionMobile used a variety of criteria to put together the Open Governance Index. It looks at licensing, different governance critera, and the community to see what makes a platform more or less "open."

I care, because my android phone is a piece of ****. Most time I get a text r a call my phone freezes, r reboot itself. Sorry I never get the iPhone. Android is one laggy piece of crap.

Who cares bout this crap. (iphonehacks) Really?..... The hell happen to this site?... Where did the ios place? I come here to be informed of iphone and or other idevices. Not to read about some junk cell phones OS. Think its bout due time i stop these email updates...... Thanks tho for all the info and work.

This site has really taken on Android bashing. The original report has nothing to do with Apple, iPhone, or iOS, so why is it mentioned here? I understand Android is a major competitor but posts should stay relevant to its comparison to iOS. This is way out of context.
