Samsung's new ads for the Galaxy S II, which ridicule Apple fans, have helped the Korean company rise past the iPhone in terms of consumer perception according to a study by research firm YouGov.
The report says:
Samsung has just edged past the iPhone in consumer perception in the US (adults 18+), likely powered by their new set of ads bashing the Apple fanboys who camp out for hours to buy the new iPhone.

Who Cares about Samsung? iPhone is the Original and is still the best smart phone, phone period ever made, fanboy or not. I guess since iPhone was the first true smart phone and pioneer, every manufacture of a smart phone is an apple fanboy because all they do is copy it.

Samsung phones don't require camping because no one is waiting for them to be released. It's not an event like the iPhone releases are. Samsung pumps out so many phones what's the difference between them. I would like to hear actually sales figures when compared to the iPhone. Or even manufacturing numbers about how many we're made. Apple makes millions upon millions of phones and they still barely keep up with the demand. I doubt Samsung has that problem even with their ads

Apple iPhone forever. Samsung is still needed to prove the for software they have. Yes I have a tab... Nice screen but I'm returning it lol. Total trash... It doesn't do anything more. Btw poster isnright though without a jailbreak iProducts are kinda weak like droid crap. Droid crap apps truly lack depth... And most of it doesn't work on your device LOL

Agreed 100%And blackberry and others were doing the smartphone thing for years before iPhone came to market. So the comment that iPhone was first is just wrong. iPhone did a lot to advance the market, I'll give you that, but I'll take my 4.3 inch screen over the now tiny iPhone screen any day. Apple has fallen behind in the smartphone game.

“THE FIRST TRUE SMART PHONE” is very subjective. You can say that the iPhone revolutionized the smart phone market and I'll agree with that. But, what's the definition of a TRUE smart phone?

Hah. It's funny how Samsung and the bunch all REACT to the iPhone and apple. Any move apple makes they will always wait and REACT whether it's making 5 new phones or ads that tout better hardware. Its never the other way around. They know iPhone is the one to beat and for good reason. Id be shocked if they released a campaign against htc or something.

What Rubbish I never Saw Any Ads. I just came back from London. And The iphone is overpriced and under-specked world over. Android is progressing by leaps and bounds any idiot can see that. I did a little survey I went to around 20 mobile shops and asked the managers what phone they use and show it to me. They either had an iphone 4 (not the 4s) or a galaxy S2 in their pocket. to the iphone 4 managers i said why dont you have a galaxy S2 and the majority answer was I had the I phone 4 before the Galaxy S2 was announced.

I agree Samsung should have a top line phone in three sizes the same size as iphone 4s. Same size as current Galaxy S2, And same size as Samsung Note.Is samsung gonna keep up the good work or is Galaxy S2 gonna be just a 1 hit wonder

until you dont have to search through forums to find out what rooting software is the best to follow and who you think will actually continue to update it as it changes android will always have problems as you're upgrading the software. your phone blows, it's not meant to be offensive, dont worry, i too used to have one
